What Does Owl Labs Do?

The Meeting Owl 4+ is a centre-of-table, all-in-one video conferencing device featuring 4K UHD 360-degree video. Owl Labs' software can automatically focus on active speakers to provide remote attendees with useful views of the people in the room.

For rooms that benefit from multiple perspectives, the Owl Bar can complement the Meeting Owl with a front-of-room camera, microphone, and speaker. Owl Labs says the Owl Bar can operate on its own or pair wirelessly with a Meeting Owl 3 or Meeting Owl 4+. Its specifications include 4K UHD video, four omnidirectional microphones, and Microsoft Teams certification. The combination provides both centre-of-room and front-of-room perspectives. Owl Labs' Canadian site describes its Meeting Owl 3 and Owl Bar bundle as using AI-powered speaker recognition to track an active speaker and intelligently select views for remote participants.

Bringing the Whiteboard into Hybrid Meetings

Owl Labs also offers the Whiteboard Owl, a dedicated camera for sharing a physical whiteboard with remote meeting participants. Its software enhances the whiteboard image by boosting contrast and reducing glare. The device supports whiteboards up to 20 ft by 15 ft (6.1 m by 4.6 m) and can be positioned up to 18 ft (5.5 m) away. It can also pair wirelessly with compatible Meeting Owl devices or the Owl Bar.
